ESSAY COMPETITION

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of St. Xavier's College, Kolkata this year, the Goethals Research Society and the Alumni Association of the College are jointly organizing an essay competition on the theme: SXC 2020. The competition aims to bring out a vision for Xavier's for the next ten years.

The competition is open to all Xaverians between the age group 18 and 35. The prizes are very attractive with monetary gains and certificates. The first prize is Rs 15,000/-, the second prize is Rs 10,000/- and the third Rs 5,000/-.

All entries must reach the Director, The Goethals Library and Research Society, 30 Mother Teresa Sarani, Kolkata -700 016 along with full name, address and a proof of Xaverian identity on or before 30 June 2009.

They must be type-written in 500 words. A team of five persons headed by the Director of Goethals Indian Library and Research Society will judge the entries and their decision will be final. For any further information the GILRS office may be contacted: 033-2280 1919; goethals@dataone.in.
